Happy Monday...Hope you all have had a lovely weekend. I surely did and still am thanks to all my lovely readers!!! So I've been blogging about 7-8 weeks now and I'm shocked with the amount of traffic I have had. I don't usually check my stats but today I did. All I can say is WOW, I must be doing something right! 1,576 views in 7 weeks, That's 1,576 times some lovely people have stopped by my blog to read what I have to say!

Okay so I know thats not a great deal, but seeming I only advertise my blog on facebook and to family and friends I was a little shocked in the high number. All I want to do is say "THANK-YOU THANK-YOU THANK-YOU" for taking time out of your day to see what I've been rambling on about. I can't wipe the smile off my face. (Proud as punch)

I promise you, my readers, my friends and my family that I will keep it up and try to keep it interesting. I'm very grateful for all your support, But I am sad to announce I will be cutting back to about 5 posts a week. It isn't that I'm running out of content or bored of it, I just want to give you, my readers some time to catch up. I've got a considerable amount of content now so I am happy to cut down 2 posts.

New Look..

Hey Guys.... I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. The sun was shining, birds were chirping and I actually enjoyed doing nothing (Strange for me)! It was surely a wonderful one spent around great people...

Okay I'm sure by now you have noticed a small change to my blog! Well I decided that it needed a new & more suited look. I'm about to start a whole new chapter in my life and thought a fresh looking blog would go very nicely. I really hope you all enjoy the new look as much as I do!

Only 33 more days until I set off on a new adventure to the other side of the country! EXCITEMENT!

Free Compliments

I'm strangely in a very happy mood today. De-cluttering a wardrobe will do that to a girl! It's amazing how much lighter I feel just by getting rid of old clothing, It's only fabric after all!!

I've successfully removed a 5th of my wardrobe, which will surely help me when it comes to the big move in September.
Come-on I think I'm deserving of a huge pat on the back, as I've been trying to do this for about 3 years..

Anyway I just wanted to share some of my happiness with the rest of you. SMILE!!!

Losing weight!

5kg by December/15kg by May

I know I'm not huge, But I also know I have weight to lose. We all have that favorite pair of jeans or favorite little black dress, yes? The ones we just don't fit into the way we use to!!

Well I have a pair of jeans! It's going to be my goal to fit back into these jeans by the time summer comes around. I want to lose 15kg all up, but my goal for now is 5kg!

How do I plan on doing this?

I plan on starting simple, Cutting out the bad things while introducing the good things. I will be saying goodbye to soft drink, goodbye to take-away food, hello to more water & more healthy foods!

I'm not in a hurry, I want to do it at my own pace and I know I can do this!

Learn to accept myself

Learn to accept myself,
imperfections and all

We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have."

Look thats me!! I promise to post a photo of myself once a week. I have always disliked almost every photo I've ever been in. I think it's time I get over it!! (and apologies for the smudgey mirror)

DISASTER!

UPDATE: Car is all fixed! YAY!!!!!

Yesterday was a disaster & the trip to the airport never actually happened. {Insert sad face here}

What in fact did happen was my car completely shit itself! It's no exaggeration when I say my beloved method of transport died in the arse about 47 times(give or take).

We left home at approx 2pm, got an hour away when my car decided to start playing up really badly, U-turn on the freeway & back home we go....very slowly....Finally returning to Morwell about 5pm. The funny part is once we got the car into Morwell it gave up altogether about 20 metres from a car wreckers. (Trust me at this point I was very tempted to do what you are thinking)

Car is now in the "shop" getting fixed, well I'm hoping it is getting fixed. I don't really have the best knowledge about car's but from what I've heard it could be a number of things. eg. fuel pump, injectors & even the alternator.

I'm proud to say today is a new day and I'm not letting this minor set back get me down! Nothing is going to hide the smile on my face!!!!

This may be a little to happy for some people who know me
but I'm trying to focus on positive things.
Life is to damn NEGATIVE!

Turning Positive

Being positive about life is a choice, A choice I've made recently. Even on those dark-stormy-grey days I've promised my self to pick out the positives and focus on them, no matter how big or small they are. I believe this is a healthy attitude to have.

I've came up with a bit of a list I can refer back to:

No.1 PUT MY SELF FIRST FOR A WHILE. It's time to focus on all my own needs rather than tending to everyone else. We are all guilty of putting other peoples needs ahead of our own & we sometimes forget who number 1 really is...!

No.2 DO ALL THE SILLY SIMPLE FUN THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY. Singing in the shower. Watching 80&90s sitcoms. Styling my hair in silly hair styles. Reading gossip mags. Covering all tables with bright coloured material. Smiling at randoms. Reading those little inspirational coffee table books.

NO.3 WRITING THINGS DOWN. Whether it's a journal or my blog, I love to share things. Creating a safe place I can come to when I need to get away from the pressure of daily life.

NO.4 MAKE SOMEONE SMILE DAILY. It's simple.. Just to see someone smile is a great gift.

NO.5 LISTEN TO MY BODY. This is an important one. I always ignore what my body asks for. It's time to get healthy, A healthy body leads to a healthy mind and Visa Versa. 7-8 hours sleep a night, the perfect balance! Most of all to drink alot more water!!!

NO.6 STOP PUTTING SO MUCH IMPORTANCE ON MONEY. I've always put way to much importance on money & it's definitely a big stress in my life. It is possible to live our lives regardless of the status of our wallets. I'm not saying I don't need or want money. I just don't want it to be the most important thing in my life anymore

NO.7 NOT BEING AFRAID TO MAKE MISTAKES. I'm not perfect, not at all! I make mistakes alot, but I learn from them quick. I've accepted that there is going to be alot more mistakes in my life time. They make me who I am!

So my plan is to cherish the moment, and appreciate all the small things in life. I want to watch the sunrise in the mornings and smell ocean at dusk. I know some people will think I'm sounding like "strawberry shortcake" or one of the "care bears" but I no longer care what others think. It's my life and I've only got this one chance to live it {and I'm going to live it my way}

Sunshine!!!!

What a nice BEAUTIFUL day! =o)

I jumped out of bed this morning, dreading another horrible day stuck inside. Made my way to the lounge room, via the fridge & then got straight onto my blog {which is seeming to become a morning habit}. I wrote out my first blog of the day and hit post, then checked my bank to see if my tax was in.. "YIPPY" it was all there, now that's a great start to my day.

"That's all done! Now what to do" I thought to my self while taking the dog outside.
All I can say is I think both me and Q(the dog) were in shock when I opened the door to sunshine and a warm breeze! "This isn't winter" I said to Q, he just looked at me and took off into the sunshine filling the backyard.

I'm sure I don't need to explain to anyone why I was out of the house within 20 minutes and not back until 4o'clock this afternoon. I could not possibly resist spending the day in the sunshine, so that's what I did. It really amazes me how a little bit of sunshine can make you feel 100 times happier & healthier.

The photo's I've shared with you all today are one of the first things I noticed this morning, One beautiful yellow rose growing out my front door {seems I wasn't the only one blossoming in the sunshine today}.  I hope everyone else enjoyed this lovely are rare day of sunshine just like I did.

Goals!

We all have days when we need a boost, days when we are feeling down on ourselves, days when life just make you want to scream. But all you got to do is smile & try to see the positive side of a negative situation. Easier said than done? Yeah you're right it is, but once you start doing it, it will amaze you how easy it becomes.

We only get one chance to make our life what we want and nothing is unachievable. Set goals and do what ever it takes to reach them, start with simple ones & once you reach them go for one a little bit more challenging.

I've set my self some goals in the last few weeks and they feel almost impossible at this stage, but I know once I'm out of here they will be alot easier to grasp. They are:

  • Move away from the valley.
  • Start & complete my OH&S study
  • Get a full time job is safety
  • Learn to fish
  • Learn to drive a manual (I can already, just some trouble going down in gears)

I {heart} photos

Location: Perth Bell Tower Photo Point

I {heart} Photos.. taking them, sharing them & looking back at them. It's amazing how many memories a single photo can hold, the intense emotions that flood your entire body while looking at that "one special photo".

Location: Home after a terrible morning of rain

To me, photography is an art
 of observation.
It's about finding something
 interesting in an ordinary place...
I've found it has little to do
with the things you
see and everything to do with
 the way you see them.

Location: Mandurah. This lucky fish got to swim away

Photography is a way of feeling,
of touching, of loving.
What you have caught on film
is captured forever...
it remembers little things,
long after you have forgotten
everything.
